As of 11:59pm on Sunday 30 August 2020 all of New Zealand is at COVID-19 Alert Level 2.

Auckland is now at Alert Level 2, but with extra restrictions on social gatherings, funerals and tangihanga. These extra restrictions will help stop the spread of COVID-19.

You must wear face coverings on public transport
From 11:59pm on Sunday 30 August face coverings must be worn on public transport. This includes trains, buses, and cross-harbour ferries.
There are some people who don't need to wear a face covering, like children under 12.
