To help clubs and recreational organisations get back up and running, Sport NZ has launched a Community Resilience Fund for Regional Sports Trusts to access.
The fund is available to help regional and local sports organisations remain financially viable following disruption caused by COVID-19. This applies if:
- the organisation cannot pay bills for fixed administration costs (excluding wages) in the three months from 1 April to 30 June 2020
- there is a need as a result of lost income, or income that is likely to be delayed by more than six months, because of the impacts of COVID-19.
A club can apply for $1,000 for fixed costs incurred from 1 April to 30 June 2020 and regional recreational and sports organisations can apply for up to $40,000.
Apply via your local Regional Sports Trust. Each trust has a different application process for contestable funds.
