Community organisations that support women and girls

The COVID-19 Community Fund is for community organisations that support women and girls in Aotearoa New Zealand. It helps organisations that are facing significantly increased demand for their services and/or decreased resources as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We know that women, particularly those who are already vulnerable, are disproportionally affected by the kind of economic disruption caused by COVID-19.

This funding can help safeguard women’s wellbeing as they deal with reduced working hours, job losses, increased caring responsibilities and an increase in domestic violence.

Who can apply

Community organisations that support women and girls in Aotearoa New Zealand can apply. You will also have to meet other eligibility criteria.

What funding is available

$2 million is available in the fund. Organisations can apply for between $5,000 and $50,000.

How to apply

Applications are open until 12:00pm noon, on Friday 1 October 2021.
