Community Panel

To ensure our ongoing response to COVID-19 is informed by a diverse range of perspectives, the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet set up the Community Panel.

About the panel

The panel provides insights across the COVID-19 system direct from communities.

Panel members bring lived experiences and deep community ties to:

  • provide diverse perspectives on the COVID-19 response
  • help make sure issues such as equity are addressed.

They represent communities such as rural, youth/aged, disabled, LGBTQ+, Māori, Pacific and other ethnic groups. Their expertise helps shape the medium- and long-term COVID-19 strategy.

Members were chosen in consultation with other government agencies to ensure strong cross-agency collaboration.
